The Corner Loft is a street-level creative live-work space, designed for an academic who desired a minimal and private space adjacent to a street corner outside. The loft required this dual purpose, for the space within a building adaptively reused at a bustling corner in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. Recently relocated from London, and commuting regularly for academic and research work among universities in the region, the client wanted a space capable of many simultaneous functions - working, lounging, entertaining, and living.
